Peter D. Kramer, M.D., received his M.D. from Harvard. A clinical professor of psychiatry at Brown University, he has a private practice in Providence, R.I. The author of Moments of Engagement and Listening To Prozac (both available in Penguin editions), he lectures internationally on topics related to psychiatry and the modern sense of self, and his writings have appeared in The New York Times, The Washigton Post and other publications.
