Alain Dubuc is one of Quebec's most prominent journalists and public intellectuals. Trained as an economist at the University of Montreal, Mr. Dubuc first became a business reporter for La Presse in 1976. He went on to become the chief editorialist at La Presse and then president and editor at Le Soleil. Under his leadership, the pages of these newspapers became must-reads for those concerned with the interplay of economics, power politics and political philosophy. Mr. Dubuc is the author of As Simple As Economics and has hosted the Télé-Quebec television show Money Matters. He now works as a columnist for both La Presse and Le Soleil.
