Tamara Reynolds is a self taught cook and freelance writer living in Astoria, Queens. She keeps a vegetable garden in her yard, cooks Sunday Night Dinner for friends and strangers, and runs her small catering business "OneAss Kitchen Productions". Small, as in... she hires her many multitalented friends to work for her. She generally likes to act as if she lives in a small town in the Midwest; she knows her butchers, produce dudes and fishmongers, and spends a lot of time in the mom and pop businesses in her neighborhood. She loves Astoria so much she has convinced many of her friends to move there; that includes her husband, who gave up a rent-controlled, doorman, UWS apartment to join her. She is still trying to convince him that the shed in their backyard is perfect for keeping chickens, but it is an uphill battle.
Tamara and Zora O'Neill began cooking dinner parties in 2003 and ended up creating the Sunday Night Dinner supper club. They have fed thousands of friends, friends of friends, strangers, and strangers who became friends. They have encouraged and inspired dinner parties far and wide and are always good for advice or a recipe.
Tamara sings when she is drunk, travels when she can, and tells stories for The Moth when she am lucky enough to be asked. You can see her kitchen and dinner party successes and failures at www.Thesundaynightdinner.com. Forking Fantastic! Put The Party Back In Dinner Party is her first book. Visit www.forkingfantastic.com to join the revolution.
