Dog and I Contest Entry Form

Calling all animal-loving writers! If you're the kind of person who never runs out of stories about your pet, then this contest is for you! In The Dog and I, Roy MacGregor takes the reader on a tour of the dogs he's known in his lifetime. From those irresistible soulful puppy eyes to hilarious doggy hijinks and the sorrows of losing a pet, it's all in here.
 
And now we want to hear from you! Send us your best dog story (max. 500 words) to win a $500 gift basket for your pet and we will also feature your story on our website.
 
A shortlist will be drawn by a jury of Penguin Group (Canada) staff and the final winner will be picked by Roy MacGregor.

• Prize: Dog gift basket (valued at $500) and the winning entry will be displayed on our website.
• Approximate retail value: $500
• Odds of winning depend on number of entries and quality of story.
• Contest closes: September 30, 2006
• Contest draw date: October 15, 2006
• Winners will be contacted by email or telephone.
• Only one valid entry per person. Entries exceeding 500 words will NOT be eligible for this contest. Winner must consent to allow Penguin Group (Canada) to display the winning entry on their website for one full month following the contest draw date.
