National Chapter of Canada IODE Violet Downey Book Award
The award is offered annually for the best English language book, containing at least 500 words of text (preferably with Canadian content) in any category, suitable for children aged 13 and under.

Norma Fleck Award
Presented annually by the Canadian Children's Book Centre and the Fleck family to an author and illustrator of Canadian non-fiction for children published in a selected calendar year

Ontario Historical Society Awards
To honour individuals who have contributed to the preservation and promotion of Ontario's heritage, the Ontario Historial Society presents awards in five book categories

Ottawa Book Award
Organized by the Office of Cultural Affairs in Ottawa and presented to an English and French author of fiction living in Ottawa to recognize outstanding books published by Ottawa authors and promote literary excellence in the community

Pat Lowther Memorial Award

Sydney Taylor Book Award (Association of Jewish Libraries)
Created to encourage the publication of outstanding books of positive Jewish content for children, this award is given annually by the Association of Jewish Libraries for works of children's literature published in the preceding year

The Journey Prize
Awarded annually by McClelland & Stewart and the Writers' Trust of Canada to a new and developing writer of distinction for a short story published in a Canadian literary publication

Timothy Findley Award
Named in honour of author Timothy Findley and given annually to a male Canadian writer in mid-career with a body of work that consists of at least three works of literary merit that are predominantly fiction

Tom Fairley Award
Established by the Freelance Editors' Association of Canada and awarded to an editor for an outstanding contribution to any type of written project published in Canada in English or French during a stated calendar year

The Torgi Literary Awards Program
Presented by the Canadian Institute for the Blind for alternative-format books that have been written, published, and produced with excellence for the benefit of adults or children who are blind or visually impaired

The Willow Awards
Saskatchewan Young Readers' Choice award honours the best literary works written by Saskatchewan and other Canadian writers as chosen by students in grades four to seven

Toronto Book Award
Presented by the Toronto City Council to honour authors of fiction and non-fiction books of literary artistic merit that are evocative of Toronto

Trillium Book Award
Established by the Ontario government in 1987 to honour works of fiction, non-fiction, drama, children's books, and poets, written in either English or French by a Canadian

Vicki Metcalf Award for Children's Literature
Awarded annually to the author of a body of work in children's literature that is demonstrative of the highest literary standards

W.O. Mitchell Literary Prize
A national award given annually to a writer who has produced an outstanding body of work, has acted during his or her career as a "caring mentor" for writers, and has published a work of fiction or had a new stage play produced during the three-year period specified for each competition

World Fantasy Awards Association
